A story about making these custom acoustic absorbers. Making them took a long time, but not necessarily because of the absorbers themselves :)

This is really awesome. And your right the arm snap thing is really addictive I have been doing it all evening since I watched the video. It has been super interesting for putting (which is my main focus at the moment) just giving a different feeling for the release. I watched your first disc golf video a couple years ago and got a ton out of it but I didn't realize that you made two more since then. I am subscribed now so I will be watching any more disc golf videos you come out with. I appreciate your mentality around disc golf and your approach to getting better at it. I have definitely made some changes in how I approach disc golf training based on your first video and I can already tell that I will be making more based on this one so I really appreciate the time you put into it!

Awesome vid! Now that I see that simulation video you created, it makes sense that each joint/pivot point for rotational motion creates its own circular path, and the goal is to align the timing for max speed along each of those rotational paths. Previously your rotation from the elbow was reaching max speed too late, so starting from 90 degrees instead got your hand to a higher speed earlier. What I wonder is whether you could still start from a more coiled elbow but initiate the opening of it earlier to get the best of both arc distance traveled and timing coordination 😯🤔

Dude, this video is amazingly thorough and laden with value. + it's like a micro documentary lol I tried moving my thumb back/away from the rim after watching, then had the best results ever during field work. The disc is so much more comfortable in my hand... I think I may have simply overlooked thumb position when I saw other videos, which would mean you're the only one who pointed out that detail. Regards!

I am ab out to turn 62 years old, started playing disc golf after trying traditional ball golf. It has been almost 3 full years now and that first year I guess I was only throwing about 150 feet. Today I can throw 250 feet. But I just cannot seem to reach that 300 foot distance target. At my age, if i can throw 300 feet consistently at least 70% of the time, that would be HUGE. So I will watch this video, and consider what you are recommending and see if what you are saying will help me in particular? People just need to go out and start doing field work more, even the recreational disc golfer will see an improvement if they go out for 30 minutes each session and do that about 2-3 times each week

Love your video. First time to the channel and I learned so much! I would add, in your philosophy, you are usually asking yourself why ... Why do I want to reach this goal .. That could be a dangerous and slippery slope. Why is usually never important in personal life. In project and business ofc .. But in personal life, rarely.. Why we do something can be picked apart with logic, and we end up with nothing actually matters. Why do we live if we are going to die.. Why do we achieve goals, if only have them forgotten.. Why do we ask why..? Why isn't important. We want to, therefore we work towards it. How is a much better question..

I think I found the detail that is holding back your progress, you can see it in min 15 sec 35-36. You tend to triger your throwing wrist earlier than expected by contracting it out and away from your body. I have been training Ultimate players for a long time and have come to notice that this is a common issue on starters and by correcting this, they gain distance and accuracy. Hope its useful.

I have to say that among all the tutorials on how to get a better form, this video in perticular has done alot for me. I started disc golfing in May of this year and been struggling to reach 75m. After two weeks of studying this video I can now reach 85m without much effort. I even got the Biltema speed recorder and today I reached 80km/h for the first time in my back yard. I'm 48 years young ;-) and my journey have just started. Can't wait to see what a couple more months of practise will do. Hoping to see more videos on this subject. They are tremendously helpful.

Wow this absolutely gold. All of your hard work and set backs makes you the perfect teacher, since you had to overcome and mentally adjust more concepts than the average pro or coach. I've never really understood the role of the passive arm before now. Mosts coaches will just briefly talk about it and throw vague terms around like "timing mechanism" and "counter balance". It's the first time I've heard anyone go into more details about it and now I think get it. I also tried your exercise and it instantly beccame clear to me that I've been arming the disc so far. I have trouble getting to a point where I feel tension behind the right shoulder. I've heard other people talk about the importance of that tension. Do anyone have any tips on how to get there?

I love all of your videos. This was the best one yet. I've been contemplating a project that would make use of the skills that you display but would actually be much simpler to perform. Namely, modeling disc flight based on DISC parameters. With that project, you would assume a generic launcher such as the ones that they use for skeet shooting and then model disc flight as a function of hyzer angle, release angle, etc. Thanks again for a fabulous video!

This video single handedly made me return to disc golf after 3 years of absence. The problem with most DG form content is that they're from people who completely skipped most of my struggles as throwing is more natural for them. The #1 missing puzzle piece for me was to push the right shoulder forward to activate my back muscles. Most people do that naturally, so no-one was able to point it out to me. Until now. I know this video is pretty old already, but I just had to say thank you. I rewatch this whenever I need a new puzzle piece to solve. By far the best disc golf form video I've ever come across.
